Fun Facts

• Orphalia has an elective monarchy. Although primogeniture is typically followed, the new king must be confirmed by a vote of the barons before he can take office. Women may not inherit the throne, so if no acceptable male heir of the most recent king is available, the barons will elect one of their own number to the throne.
• The national sport of Orphalia is jousting. Orphalians love jousting. Jesting, less so. And jesting about jousting with an Orphalian can lead to a thrashing.
