Whiteswab: (pop. 400) The only clean town in Darnk. Three day ride south of Lower Hicksnittle, halfway between Offal and Ordure. Strict ordinances against littering, loitering, loud noises, offensive body odor, swearing, smoking, belching and a host of other practices. The penalty for most infractions is death by hanging. Enforcement is provided by the Sanitary Police.

Consumption of alcohol is also forbidden in Whiteswab.

Whiteswabbers bathe daily in tubs of triple-distilled water, unlike most Darnkites, who avoid immersion except during the annual Pond Plunge.
